All You Got

Kurt Marton-October 2012
Timothy's grandma, Lois, and his mom, Eunice, taught him about Jesus. He learned to love the truth and was not afraid to talk about the good news of forgiveness. Paul, an apostle, told Timothy, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young. Set an example for the believers in what you say and how you live" 1 Timothy 4:12.

Remember not to let people look down on you. God gave you special talents and abilities. Some people are good at sports and others in music and others in knowledge. Whatever you do, give it all you got.

My grandson, Kurt, is great at baseball and has won the respect of his coach and peers at the early age of seven. I think some day we might see him on a professional team, and I'll be able to say, "I knew you before you were famous."

Think About It
God made each of us special. Do you know what your specialty is? A better question is, what do you like to do? Most likely you are good at it. Consider this verse. Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:30-32. That is what Jesus did. He glorified God in all He did. He gave all He had--even His very own life so you could experience God's love and forgiveness.

Pray About it

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you made each of us in Your image and each of us different. Help us to find out what we are good at and use it to bring you glory.
Amen.
