The Eighth Commandment-Do Not Steal

Have you ever wanted something so much you stole it? Whether you shoplift a piece of candy from the bulk candy bin at the grocery store or cheat on school tests or rob a house, it's called stealing. What would you think if the store manager not only kicked you out of his store, but called the police on you? How would you feel if your best friend found out you copied her answers on to your test? No matter how much you want cool stuff or think you are entitled to it, if you have to steal it, it's wrong.

In fact, stealing is one of God's Big Ten. You may think you can get away with taking things that are not yours, but God knows. You have no secrets He doesn't know about. You can't hide from Him. Why not live your life pleasing Him? He loves you more than you could ever imagine and He wants you to have an abundant life.

Think About It
Why not make Jesus the desire of your heart? "Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts."
Isaiah 26:7-9
"Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Psalm 37:3-5

Pray About It
Thank you, Father God, for loving us and blessing us. Help us to concentrate on your life in us and not our life in the world. Amen.
